Welcome!
I am Peter Stewart

About MeGet in Touch

I am a London-based broadcaster and author, specialising in traditional and social media.

Here’s my mini-bio

Broadcaster

I have been broadcasting for 25 years for the BBC and commercial companies, for regional and national stations and on TV and on radio.

I have hosted programmes in almost every timeslot and format, and have been a national news editor and studio producer.

Author

I am a published author of several books on broadcasting production and presentation, which have each been translated into several languages and are used on prestigious media courses around the world. Check out Basic Radio Journalism, Essential Radio Skills and Broadcast Journalism, on Amazon.

Live and Recorded Video

The production and presentation of live mobile video is a particular passion, and I wrote the world’s first book on how to use the Periscope app, which streams video through twitter. I spoke at the inaugural ‘Periscope Community Summit’ in New York  in 2015 and host weekly shows on blab about live-streaming techniques, tricks and tech.

Twitter

My e-book tweetorial for radio station managers, presenters and staff shows how to use Twitter to expand your radio brand and better engage with their existing and potential listeners. In fact it’s a whole book of invaluable help and advice. If you work in radio and would like a free copy of Essential Tweeting Skills for Radio Stations, simply message me.

Trainer and speaker

I have devised courses and delivered them to thousands of people at the BBC and other broadcasters and educational establishments, across the UK and as far south as the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. Delegates have ranged from trainees to senior managers (including to Deputy Director-General level) and to high-profile presenters at each of the BBC network stations.

Find-a-Line

The unique reference book for writers who want a new way to say the same-old thing. Find-A-Line is not a dictionary as it doesn’t give definitions. It’s not a thesaurus as it doesn’t simply give alternative words. Find-A-Line is an ingenious one-of-a-kind compendium of original ways of saying familiar things: the ultimate phrase finder to help get your message across.  Around 15,000 cool phrases, rhymes, puns, alliterations to grab attention.
